This is a good article, and everything the author states is true, but....

You don't separate children from their parents in an immigrant situation.  Period

It's a matter of Principal.  Period

It should be noted that the very same "Alt-Right" websites who applauded this policy, were deeply critical of the fact (correctly so) that the vast majority of immigrants to Europe....

A) were composed of very few women and children, despite what the lying mass-media constantly stated. And....
B) were also composed of men pretending to be children or young teenagers. 

Yet now confronted with actual families accompanied by their actual children, they whine and state the parents endangered their children by taking them with them!!  Whereas, according to these paragons of "family value promotion" they should have broken up their families, and left their children behind, in the decaying, degenerating, dangerous societies they were fleeing from!!

What utter ridiculous, turn-on-a-dime, hypocrisy!! 

It should also be noted that many of the "Alt-Right" websites who have promoted and preached family values incessantly, and who have vociferously criticized (again correctly) every "Government" program targeted at children, from education, to vaccinations, to the horrendous record of the CPS, were hypocritically quick to say this abhorrent practice of removing children from immigrant parents was fine with them.

Many even went so far as to say this policy was acceptable as a means to punish these children to discourage their parents, and thereby openly acknowledge that the children were being put in harms way by this policy. Given the well known deplorable, and criminal state of CPS services in this country

Worse, many vitriolically expressed glee at the suffering of these children, cracking jokes about how all children "cry" no matter what, while making fun of the emotional comments by those who expressed legitimate concerns

Even worse, some of them sickeningly, and despicably, actually joked about these children being sexually abused.... as a deterrent to their parents.

Those who apologize, make excuses, or abhorrently advocate this particular policy in any way shape or form, should know the carrion company they keep!

As a practicable matter separating the children from their parents is NOT the equivalent of removing a criminal from their community, including any children they are legal guardians for, since children of a criminal are located in their community.  Usually having relatives, or a parent, who could take care of them.  Speaking the same language and familiar with the environment they live in. Migrant children have none of those advantages.

Second it alleviates the burden and responsibility for taking care of these children from the Federal Government. and places it were it belongs, with that of the parents

Thirdly it removes the chances these children should come to harm under the manifestly malignant ministrations of Federal agencies

Fourthly, there's no problem reuniting them with their parents since they weren't removed from them in the first place

Fifthly, very importantly, it causes no diminution of the effectiveness of this nation's immigration program, since that relies on discouraging employment of undocumented immigrants, erecting physical barriers to impede their progress, enacting programs in the countries they come from to discourage their immigration, such as not destroying or destabilizing these countries in the first place, and catching them and transporting them back to where they came from.

On a personal note.  This website editor was severely disappointed with many of the Alt-Right websites, who so quickly abandoned their long espoused principals, within days, to gleefully applaud this program.  People who clearly and vindictively cheered it on so that "dem dar Spics could be taught a lesson"

By espousing a program to go after, and knowingly endangering these immigrants' children

Regrettably, for the foreseeable future, it means these websites are now unreliable regarding ANY principal they advocate, not just their now eviscerated principals of "family values".
