Hamas: We agreed in the past to state within '67 borders
A quote...."Hamas  sent messages to the US government in the past stating that the movement does not oppose the formation of a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital, Israel Radio reported on Monday, quoting the group's Gaza leadership. -- According to the report, Hamas's Gaza leadership also requested to begin a dialogue with the United States." - posted/added 09-20-10

PA forces raid meeting as dissent grows
Obviously the PA has no authority whatsoever to talk to Israel because they lost the elections to Hamas in 2006But talking to Israel implies NOTHING!!  For more on how this website editor feels about the entire issue see the two quotes and comments shown below....

"....engaging in negotiations is just fine and is not "recognition" of anything, certainly not a "Jewish" state.  As Carl von Clausewitz said...."Der Krieg ist eine bloße Fortsetzung der Politik mit anderen Mitteln", (War is merely a continuation of politics). -- The converse of course is also true, negotiations, i.e. "politics", is merely a continuation of war.  If a nation state fails to negotiate, they deny themselves fifty percent of their capabilities to alter or improve their situation.  Being stubborn and stupid while over-estimating your capabilities is very romantic to some people;  it will also get a lot of innocent people killed.  -- The Jews of Israel care only about their plans for territorial expansion, they have no problem murdering woman and children. -- The Palestinians are defending their homes and lands, that's a moral advantage, something which means absolutely nothing to the Israelis or most of the population of the US-NRE and it will not stop the weapons that the US-NRE gave to Isreal from raining down upon the Palestinians towns and villages. - mpg - posted 11-08-09

"....talking implies nothing.  Look at the US-NRE, every word out of every single politicians mouth during the last ten years turned out to be an utter fabrication.  No treaty was ever adhered to by the US-NRE if the parasites running this government thought it was to their advantage not to do so.  Think of the ABM, think of the NPT, the Geneva Conventions, it's OWN constitution for Gawd's sake, think of what they did to the Native Americans.  They've NEVER HONORED ANYTHING!  The Israelis are no different, just as they've broken every promise they've ever made, just as they've violated every agreement they've ever signed, so they will do so in the futureSO WHAT!  Not talking makes Hamas look stupid, intransigent and down right childish. - mpg - posted 08-01-10

What the Palestinians must do is enter into these negotiations with no pre-conditions, but with the clear understanding that these negotiations are being held to most efficiently enable the Israelis to withdraw from the territories they've illegally occupied and fulfill the many UN resolutions demanding that they do so.  In other words, that the Palestinians are engaging in these talks simply and solely to help the Israelis better understand their obligations under the law.

That by the end of these negotiations everyone should clearly understand all Palestinians will be allowed the full right of return, that the state of Israel will return to the 1967 borders (assuming a "two state solution" is still possible, although it's probably too late for that) and that Jerusalem will be the capital for both peoples. (again assuming a "two state solution" is at all possible and that the Israelis still want to change their capital from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem) and that if the Jews of Israel agree to this extremely generous proposal, and cooperate under international law, those Jews who wish to remain in the duo-state of Israel/Palestine...will be allowed to do so.- mpg
