Ignorance of Iraqi death toll no longer an option
A quote...."Not wanting to think about civilian deaths in Iraq has become almost universal. The average American believed approximately 9,900 Iraqis had died as a result of the war according to a February 2007 AP poll. Unfortunately, recent evidence suggests that things in Iraq may be one-hundred times worse than Americans realize."

We should all stop pretending.  Most of the Neo-Romans who live in this country know; even when they take the polls and say they don't know....they know.  They really, truly, do.

When you level whole cities from the air and use 500lb and 2000lb bombs in crowded urban areas to "get" an insurgent or two....you know what you're doing  When you use cluster munitions, or white phosphorous, napalm (MK77) bombs or fuel-air explosives....you know what you're doing.  When your national guard is running out of equipment, your congress keeps increasing your military budget, your country is spending more on that budget than the ENTIRE WORLD COMBINED and most of this hardware is being used up at a ferocious rate in one tiny, little, impoverished, country....you know what you're doing.

When you're using up so many bullets that some of your police departments are running out of ammo....you know what you're doing.  When you've been doing this for over four years in a country of just twenty seven million people...YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING.

So could we all just stop pretending now?  Please?  This whole pretense, this childish and cowardly act from the many Neo-Romans who took this poll and who keep exclaiming "I don't/didn't know", is unsustainable, unbelievable and pathetically ridiculous.

So could you guys just stop....please?  Could you finally stand up for what you've supported and stop living in denial?

It’s really embarrassing to everyone else who lives in this country when you just keep on pretending. – mpg
