Soured Sunni deal ends one US option & The Bloodbath We Created & A Way Forward, a Look Back

It appears the "Flipping of Iraq" has failed for the moment and the US will continue its strategy of using the Shia to suppress the Sunnis.  Until of course the US can betray the Shia again as it did when it encouraged them to rise up against Saddam, only to withhold its support and stand idly by watching as Saddam crushed them.

Considering their avid willingness to be used again in this fashion, and their indifference to how they were betrayed in the past, one can hold out little hope for the future of the Shia or for that matter any of the other groups in Iraq.  As soon as the Bush administration can create sufficient terror amongst the Sunnis to force their cooperation, they'll flip them, use them against the Shias, and launch their long planned assault against Iran.

The "Great Game" - i.e. the PNAC playbook, is still being followed to the letter.

The administration and Israel however cannot make their move unless they are able to get Iraq’s Sunni insurgents to comply with their plans as well as obtaining compliance from the other "friendly" Gulf States, specifically Saudi Arabia. Despite their rhetoric, they simply cannot take on the entire Muslim world.  It now seems apparent however that the compliance they desired from Saudi Arabia will not be forth coming and in fact what cooperation does exist is rapidly being withdrawn because of the breakdown in negotiations with the insurgents.

It goes to show despite the Saudis willing complicity with the “fortuitous” event of 9/11, an event which catapulted the Bushists to the pinnacles of dictatorial power in this country and which was the absolute key to their plans for worldwide dominance, the Bushists have shown absolutely no willingness to return this favor by supporting the Sunnis against the Shia…..for now.

But in a surprising coup Bush and Co. have successfully obtained the complete and total cooperation of the Democrats.  It appears the Military-Industrial-Oil-Complex (MIOC) elites of this country realized that the base of support they had provided to the Bushist Neocons was insufficiently broad for their planned ten to thirty year campaign of wars needed to seize control of the Middle East.

Having realized participation of the other segments of this society's elites would be essential for these plans of conquest to succeed, the MIOC elites arranged for the Democrats to be brought in to provide the necessary "bipartisanship" cover to deflect the public's growing anger at the continuing chaos in Iraq and the soon to be obvious economic debacle which will overtake this nation.

And so the war - soon to be many wars - and the ensuing slaughter, will go on for the foreseeable future.
