Truth and Consequences: A Watershed Moment for Rebuilding a Movement
Special Note - A quote...."The website “9/11 Blogger” was exposed as a controlled opposition site years ago by myself and a long list of other well-meaning Truth advocates.  Heavily controlled actually. -- Typically I wouldn’t waste my time or yours writing about the goings on over there, but recently it has come to my attention that due to their own overreaching, Blogger could become a kind of microcosm for the Truth movement which allows us to better understand (1) the well-financed and organized effort which has been leveled against our little movement by those who mean to end speculation and reasoned inquiry about 9/11 once and for all and (2) the resilience of those of us who still demand to know the truth and still dare to speak it."  - Topix ||  9/11-NORAD  ||

Regarding the author's theory that something else hit the Pentagon besides a plane, it's this website editor's contention that IF four real planes, with real passengers, were hijacked on 9/11....the simplest, and therefore the most likely scenario, (Occam's Razor) would have been for all four of the planes to be remoted directly into their targets on that fateful day -- with the possible exception of flight 93, (the plane slated to crash into WTC7) which may have been deliberately shot down by US-NRE authorities (or remoted into the ground by the perpetrators), after the passengers had sucessfully, and very unexpectedly, seized control of the aircraft.

It's the simplest explanation that fits the known facts and the easiest of the various scenarios to accomplish, assuming again there were four real planes involved that day.  Theoretically, the electronics could have been installed, the planes set on auto-navigation to their designated destinations once the "patsies" had taken over, and toward the end of their flights (during which NORAD was grounded)
once they'd reached their pre-programed destinations, remoted one at a time through a satellite down-link into their designated targets by a single person. All with available technology which had already been demonstrated and tested by then.

No doubt of course more people were involved, but the fact that it would have been technically possible for a single person to carry out such an operation demonstrates just how few people would really be needed to participate in such an attack and therefore how simple and easy such an operation would be to keep secret.

Any other explanation involves a lot more people, equipment, exposure and witnesses.

Also of course under this scenario there would be no need to get rid of any embarrassing airplanes, "patsies" or passengers, since they, along with any incriminating on-board equipment, would be incinerated and destroyed on impact. - mpg

Zionism Contra Democracy

Egypt’s Uprising: Not Just a Question of “Transition”
Special Note - A quote...."No sooner had Hosni Mubarak been pushed aside than the corporate media began busily minimizing the goals of the Egyptian people’s revolt. It was all about one man’s crimes, they said, requiring only some “democratic” adjustments to make the “transition” to a system that Washington and London could love. But “class remains the key dynamic to understanding any social transformation,” in Arab lands as elsewhere. “The result of neoliberalism was the enrichment of a tiny elite concurrent with the immiseration of the vast majority.”

There are causes that track back to the United States, English banks, and Wall Street which mainly deal with accelerating food prices due to rampant speculation, a global wave of unemployment due to a planned demolition of the global economy, and the despotic dictatorial rule by U.S. and British friendly puppet regimes, so yes, you can trace the roots of these outbreaks back to the global interests the CIA serves."

Lessons from Asia: The real 'Egyptian Revolution' is yet to come
A quote...."If we look at other countries for comparison (and there are many recent examples of people’s power uprisings suddenly ending the reign of longstanding authoritarian regimes), I am especially struck by parallels with South Korea’s 1987 June Uprising, when for 19 consecutive days, hundreds of thousands of people illegally went into the streets and battled tens of thousands of riot police to a standstill. On June 29, 1987, the military dictatorship finally capitulated to the opposition’s demands to hold direct presidential elections, thereby ending 26 years of military rule."

THE NEW EGYPT - Is the revolution being co-opted?
A quote...."There may be a danger at this stage that the (dwindling) Egyptian middle class - to which many of the young revolutionaries belong - may privilege "stability", thus relaxing their concentration and mobilization over the past three weeks. The self-appointed "Committee of the Wise Men", for instance, is trying hard to hijack all the hard work propelled by the young revolutionaries by supporting just a minor "reform" of the constitution. -- A clash with the working classes - and the Egyptian countryside - may be looming. The Facebook kids are not exactly wily politicians. What needs to be extracted now is institutionalized commitments from the military junta, such as freedom of the press starting now, and the abolition of the emergency laws. The banks have done what they do best with the money: funnel it into obscene salaries and bonuses. --  Meanwhile, all of these firms remain bankrupt (thanks to the suspension of accounting principles no one cares), the underlying issues that nearly took down the system remain in place, and savers and other sensible folks have been fleeced due to US Dollar devaluation and future taxpayer obligations."

ALERT!! - Must Read - Financial Warning - (For the TBF's only - mpg) - Quote of the Day...."The Court recognizes that an adverse ruling regarding MERS’s authority to assign mortgages or act on behalf of its member/lenders could have a significant impact on MERS and upon the lenders which do business with MERS throughout the United States. However, the Court must resolve the instant matter by applying the laws as they exist today. It is up to the legislative branch, if it chooses, to amend the current statutes to confer upon MERS the requisite authority to assign mortgages under its current business practices. MERS and its partners made the decision to create and operate under a business model that was designed in large part to avoid the requirements of the traditional mortgage recording process. This Court does not accept the argument that because MERS may be involved with 50% of all residential mortgages in the country, that is reason enough for this Court to turn a blind eye to the fact that this process does not comply with the law."  -- *Judge Robert Grossman*

Egyptian Protesters Did in 2 1/2 Weeks What the American Military Could Not Do in 9 Years of War ... Bring Democracy to the Middle East - (Of course, bringing "democracy" is NOT, and has NEVER BEEN, the US-NRE miliary's intention. - mpg) - Special Note - A quote...."I've previously noted that the Egyptian revolution shows that the us-versus-them narrative of the war on terror is false. -- The events in Egypt also prove that democracy does not come from the barrel of a gun. -- The fact that the Egyptian protesters have made more strides away from tyranny and towards democracy in 2 and 1/2 weeks than the American military has been able to do in 9 years if Afghanistan and 7 years in Iraq proves it."  ---  "Obviously, there is a long way to go. The military has to hand over power and let elections take place. But Egyptian people have taken a giant step in the right direction, while America's offensive military campaigns have caused more harm than good, destabilized the region and created new terrorists." - also posted at ZeroHedge

Hold the Celebration: Egypt's Struggle Just Began
Must Read - A quote...."Hopefully beneath celebratory euphoria, Egyptians know ousting Mubarak was simple, especially since Washington long wanted him out. Covertly with Egypt's military, it facilitated long-planned regime purging for with new faces under old policies. In other words, have everything change but stay the same, a common imperial bait and switch con. -- As a result, the real liberating struggle continues against long odds for success because Washington, Egypt's military, Israel, Western powers, and big money will do everything to prevent it. The usual scheme was hatched - a facade of change that may or may not work, and will be months, maybe years, to know."

Mubarak's Gone, But....So What?  The Army's Now Running Things and all the Egyptians Have Are Promises. - Must Read -- And they're US-NRE "backed" promises, and everyone throughout the entire world knows how much those are worth. - mpg -- A quote...."Two weeks ago, shortly after the protests in Egypt started, the Israelis allowed some 800 Egyptian soldiers into the Sinai. They went to Sharm el-Sheik down on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula on the Red Sea where the Israelis said they may be based. While the Israelis had allowed Egyptian police and security into the Sinai, this is the first time in thirty years that a contingent of the Egyptian army had been allowed in. -- Two weeks later, Mubarak is ousted from power and he leaves Cairo and heads off, not overseas into exile as one might expect of a ruthless dictator ousted by popular revolution, but to Sharm el-Sheik – where the 800 Egyptian troops are now based. -- While Mubarak has handed over power to the chiefs of the army ostensibly to oversee the transition to a democratic civilian government, one cannot blame the Egyptian people being more that bit wary of what is actually going on and maintaining their vigil in Tahrir Square."

America’s Strategic Repression of the ‘Arab Awakening’
Must Read - A quote...."This spurred on the development of an American strategy in the Arab world, modeled on similar strategies pursued in recent decades in other parts of the world, in promoting “democratization,” by developing close contacts with ‘civil society’ organizations, opposition leaders, media sources, and student organizations. The aim is not to promote an organic Arab democracy ‘of the people, and for the people,’ but rather to promote an evolutionary “democratization” in which the old despots of American strategic support are removed in favour of a neoliberal democratic system, in which the outward visible institutions of democracy are present (multi-party elections, private media, parliaments, constitutions, active civil society, etc); yet, the power-holders within that domestic political system remain subservient to U.S. economic and strategic interests, continuing to follow the dictates of the IMF and World Bank, supporting America’s military hegemony in the region, and “opening up” the Arab economies to be “integrated” into the world economy. "

A Revolting World - The Forces of Reaction never rest
Must Read - A quote...."Many in many lands are demonstrating against their governments. Some claim that people everywhere are revolting and that a worldwide revolution is imminent. Even both the orthodox and heterodox presses are all atwitter. But it is far easier to bring about a successful revolution than it is to build and preserve a humane, functioning government. The forces of reaction never rest, and they have managed to undo most of history's people's revolutions. Revolutionaries must recognize that their first task is to defend their newly formed governments from reactionaries, for once reactionaries get their feet in the door, they will not stop until the revolution is undone." - also posted at Hamsayeh

Visions; Failed Endeavors, and Wishful Optimism
Special Note - A quote...."“The will of the people is bound to prevail.” -- Yes, a fine sentiment.   But when has it ever and, when it has, how long did it last?  Freedom, Liberty and the dignity of man, must be built on more than slogans! Yes, hopefully.  And there have been days when it looked like we might be making some headway  but then, when we step back a few paces,  let the smoke clear a bit, it is apparent that we still have a long, long and difficult task ahead of us"

Post-Mubarak era dawns on Egypt
Contains Video - Remarkable18Days - A quote...."Egyptians have woken to a new dawn after 30 years of rule under Hosni Mubarak. -- As the Muslim call to prayer reverberated across Cairo on Saturday, the sound of horns honking in jubilation could still be heard after a night when millions celebrated the fall of the president, who has handed over power to the military. -- After 18 days of rallies at Cairo's Tahrir Square, resisting police assaults and a last-ditch raid by Mubarak supporters, people packed not just the epicentre but, it seemed, every street and neighbourhood of the capital. Similar was the scene in other cities and towns across the country." - also posted at Uruknet

Nasser and now
A quote...."This is the most uplifting, invigorating and exhilarating historical experience since the days of the Suez Crisis. The parallel with the people's power, the spontaneous uprising that brought my father to power, especially heartens me. And above all when my father resigned in the aftermath of the Six Day War of 1967 only to be urged by the masses to continue in office," Hoda Abdel-Nasser, daughter of the late president Gamal Abdel-Nasser and political science professor at Cairo University told Al-Ahram Weekly." - also posted at Uruknet

The workers, middle class, military junta and the permanent revolution

Is this a ‘Young Turks’ moment all over again?
A quote...."Mubarak steps down, surely the result of direct US pressure. But what difference will it make, the country has been run by a military clique for three decades, all that’s changed is that now they do it openly. The real issue, is what next? Will the masses now press for Sulieman, all of them to step down now? It’s possible, it depends on what the army and the security-state forces do next, after the euphoria has died down." - also posted at Uruknet

Something is Hidden in the Remote Places of the World
A quote...."Don’t ask me why or how, because I don’t know, but I think Pakistan is the powder keg or the goal. Something there is about Pakistan. It’s certainly not about terrorists. It certainly isn’t about intimidation and the killing of innocents, who don’t have two sticks to rub together much of the time. I suppose the argument can be made about threatening Russia and China, failing that, I don’t see what the tactical value is. You can’t hold on to these areas. They can’t hold on to Afghanistan and the parts of Pakistan that they are attacking are even harder to contain and there’s nothing and hardly anyone to contain there. There must be something more going on, only I can’t see it."

Wall Street rally based on fantasy valuations and investment banking trading – S&P 500 back to 2007 valuations and up nearly 100 percent from March 2009 trough. - Charts - A quote...."Wall Street has a way of sucking people back into a money losing vortex.  With hedge funds using high frequency trading boxes the public has no chance in competing with these organized and sophisticated gambling casinos.  It is amazing how quickly people forget.  It was only in March of 2009 that the S&P 500 hit 676.  The incredible part of it all was that many stocks were still over valued at that point.  Since that time the Federal Reserve has juiced the system up with trillions of taxpayer dollars.  As we brought up in our first analysis the average American only has $2,000 saved for retirement so this rally isn’t because of them.  Most of the financial wealth in the country is aggregated with the top 1 percent of Americans.  The stock market is a betting parlor for the rich and incredibly many people are now being sucked in yet again with the S&P 500 hitting 1,329.  The S&P 500 is a few points away from having a 100 percent increase from the March 2009 trough.  Is this a new bull market?  Not likely if we actually pay attention to earnings." - also posted at BLN

The “Pyramid Schemes” of Empire Inc.
Must Read - A quote...."The revolutions in Tunisia and Egypt forced have Obama into an uncomfortable but familar posture: On the one hand, in order to preserve at least the appearance of credibility, the candidate of hope and change has to at least feign solidarity with the people who expressed their hope by flooding into the streets of Tunisia and Cairo demanding change in leadership of their US-sponsored tyrannies. On the other hand, as the man charged with the responsibility of prolonging the death-gasp of a doomed Empire, Obama had to work overtime behind the scenes to make sure that any political changes forced upon America’s satraps in the Middle East remain cosmetic and trivial. The Reign of the Psychopaths

To the psychopath, other people exist as mere objects, to be used and discarded at the psychopath’s whim. -- "I had to beat my mother with that baseball bat," claims the typical psychopath. "She wouldn’t give me her pension check, and I needed it to buy more beer." -- Such statements are made without irony or sarcasm, since the psychopath literally cannot imagine that other human beings might have needs distinct from his own."  ---  "Despite the swerving, the billowing clouds of doublespeak and the confused backtracking, the common thread weaving its way through our government’s reaction [to Egypt's revolution] has been one of egocentrism of psychopathic dimensions. Our elite media have mostly been neurotically obsessing about the effect that Mubarak’s fall would have on America. -- What about access to the Suez Canal? What about Israel? What about Egypt’s cooperation with our War on Terror? What about those juicy military contracts? -- Basically, it’s all about us. -- Even the oft-heard accusation that President Obama was going to "lose" Egypt reveals volumes about the state of America’s psychology." - also posted at DProgram

Pacified & Lulled, Still Waiting for the Pendulum to Swing

I was having one of those defeated and disillusioned moments that kept recurring during that time period. I think you would have found it justifiable: I had been slapped with two separate gag orders via two separate invocations of state secrets privilege, I had just witnessed the Congress being hit with another gag order in my case via retroactive classification issued by the Justice Department, we were at war in Iraq based on lies, the PATRIOT ACT was in full swing, secret kidnapping and detention operations by our paramilitary were taking place all over the world, congressional corruption and revolving door scandals were popping up one after another…So, you see, all this and being almost at the end of my masters program specializing in US public policy, where what we were taught didn’t match reality on the ground (US politics and government) whatsoever, gave me a certain degree of justification for feeling the way I felt that day."

The Founding Fathers Would Be Proud of the People of Egypt ... They’ll tell you that the Second Amendment must have limits so that criminals and maniacs and terrorists can’t have high-capacity magazines and machine guns. - But hunting and self-defense are two secondary reasons why the government isn’t permitted to infringe on your right, as an American citizen, to bear arms. In fact, let’s review the exact text of the Second Amendment right now:"

"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

"It doesn’t say anything about hunting. It doesn’t say anything about personal defense either. It contains two major parts: a justification of the right, and an unqualified declaration of the right. - The justification explains that the importance of this right is that it allows for local, organized defense (though nowhere does it restrict the right to this purpose). It is not referring to the National Guard of each state. It is referring to civilians maintaining the ability to organize themselves into effective military units if the need should arise." - bold/underline by website editor

Ain't That Good News!
Special Note - A quote...."We raise our glass to the Egyptian people. In the end Mubarak propelled them to irresistible fury with his dotty broadcast on Thursday. It seems that for some years now he’s been drifting in and out of senile dementia, same way Reagan did in his second term. The plan had been to run his son Gamal in the last elections, but that turned out to be a non-starter so they rolled the semi-gaga Hosni out one more time and fixed the results, ringingly endorsed by the US.  On Thursday morning Mubarak probably told Suleiman and the US that he was going to quit, then forgot and, braced by a supportive call from the Israelis and a pledge by the Saudis to give him $1.4 billion if the US withheld it, announced that he would be around till September."

The Emerging Counter-Revolutions in Tunisia and Egypt
Counter Revolutionary Warning - A quote...."An arrogant pharaoh has fallen. Egyptians may be chanting that their country is free, but their struggle is far from over. The United Arab Republic of Egypt is not free yet. The old regime and its apparatus are still very much in place and waiting for the dust to settle. The Egyptian military is officially in control of Egypt and the counter-revolution is emerging. A new phase of the struggle for liberty has started. -- The so-called regime-desired "transitional phases" in Tunisia and Egypt are being used to buy time in order to do three things. The first objective is to erode and eventually break the people's popular demands. The second goal is to work to preserve neo-liberal economic policies, which will be used to subvert the political system, and to tighten the straightjacket of external debts. Finally, the third motivation and objective is the preparation of counter-revolution."

There has been NO REVOLUTION so far

Israel’s Fission Field Warfare: Pakistan, Iraq and Egypt
Must Read - A quote..."When applied to daily shifts on the geopolitical front, the first definition is self explanatory. The second definition however, requires a bit of dissection. The ‘nucleus’ of a stable society is the peaceful, brotherly and harmonious interaction between its people. To split this nucleus through fission, thus disrupting the interaction and establishing division, the variable needed is any type of bombardment. - Once the nucleus is split, the energy released is that which resembles misunderstanding, enmity, frustration and even hatred. Since the fission itself is controlled ‘very carefully,’ the manipulators must also induce the bombardment. This bombardment can be directed at either side of the divided societal ‘nucleus,’ fomenting an ever-expanding atmosphere of perpetual blaming and infighting. By constantly injecting deception into the enclaves where the newly formed ‘fragments’ have been divided, they remain quite incognizant of the reason that they have been split from their harmonious core to begin with." - also posted at MyCatBird'sSeat - For an example on this sort of process, see....  Topix ||  US Sponsored Civil Wars - Iraq  ||  The US's New Map of the Middle East  ||  Divide And Rule  ||

Uncle Sam – Take A Hike
Must Read - A quote...."Powerful countries meddling in the affairs of others is scarcely a recent development but goes back into the mists of time. Perhaps Palmerston said it best: “We have no eternal allies, and we have no perpetual enemies. Our interests are eternal and perpetual, and those interests it is our duty to follow.” (emphasis added) It’s following that dictum that brought forth the great empires of Britain, France, Russia, and to a lesser extent, the US. Until after World War I and especially post World War II, few questioned the right of Britain to have all those countries shown as red on the maps. Only weirdoes giving a Sunday incantation at Speaker’s Corner in London’s Hyde Park would have suggested that Britain divest itself of its empire or of places “of interest” like, say, Persia. -- It was indeed in Persia (I will use the modern name Iran henceforth) where it became obvious to the world that there were real people living in these countries of “interests”.

Pakistan: Another "Important Ally" at Risk? - US Double Standards Over Diplomat Killing

A third Pakistani, a bystander, was killed when he was run over by another US consular vehicle rushing to Davis’ assistance. Pakistani police are seeking to question the driver of the second vehicle, but his whereabouts appear to be unknown. Davis, who is said by US officials to have been employed in a “technical assistance” role for the American consulate in Lahore, claims that he shot the men in self-defence during an attempted robbery. But eyewitnesses flatly dispute this claim, saying that it was Davis who was pursuing the motorbike riders. -- An ex-US army soldier, who also served in the Special Forces, Davis is believed by many Pakistanis to have been working for private security firm, Xe, formerly known as Blackwater, which is known to have carried out covert murder operations in Iraq, Afghanistan. Flip That Bond" Continues As Primary Dealers Divest 75% Of Just Auctioned Off 7 Year Bond
A quote...."Trust the Criminal Reserve and Criminary Dealers to take advantage of the cover provided by the Egyptian revolution to sneak a quick Flip That Bond in there. Today's POMO closed with $7.375 billion of bonds monetized out of $24 billion in submitted offers. The Submitted to Accepted ratio was 3.3x, but as usual the trickery lies just below the surface. As usual the just issued bond, the 2.625% of 2018 - PDF, accounted for the bulk of the POMO. In fact, at $3.899 billion, the PT1 represented 52.9% of the entire POMO. With PDs having taken down $12.2 billion of the issue at auction, they have just reduced their holdings by 32%. But wait, there's more: on the February 3 POMO PDs put back $5.2 billion of the PT1 CUSIP. So between today and the last time the 7 Year bond (which was just auctioned off two weeks ago) was monetized, Primary Dealers have already given back 75% of the entire take down from the January 27 auction! Kairos in Cairo: Seizing the Moment of Moral Courage
Must Read - A quote...."I was among the million people who marched through London on February 15, 2003, to protest the imminent invasion of Iraq. I don't think anyone in the crowd thought a single march would stop the Anglo-American coalition from launching a war of aggression, but most felt it was important that the widespread anger and dismay at this murderous course of action be embodied, literally, on the streets, by a broad cross-section of the public. -- This was done. And it was not totally unimportant, as an act of bearing witness. But now, years later, the people of Egypt -- especially the young people -- have shown us what a small, feeble act that 2003 march really was, and how we all let thuggish leaders play us for fools. We showed up, we marched, we massed -- then we quietly went home, back to our lives, and let the brutal machinery of aggressive war roll on. -- What would have happened had we possessed the courage and commitment that the Egyptians are demonstrating today?" - also posted at Uruknet

A quote...."The Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security - Janet Napolitano - just told congress that the U.S. might be facing the greatest threat of terrorist attacks since 9/11:   And in some ways, the threat today may be at its most heightened state since the attacks nearly 10 years ago. We should be afraid ... right? -- Well, as I've repeatedly noted, FBI agents and CIA intelligence officials, constitutional law expert professor Jonathan Turley, Time Magazine, Keith Olbermann and the Washington Post have all said that U.S. government officials "were trying to create an atmosphere of fear in which the American people would give them more power".

Censorship in Academia - Cornell University
A quote...."I've been a Cornell Staff member for about thirty years, and pretty much every work day, I work with metal. Mostly machining, but also, bending, shearing, welding, annealing, heating, heat treating, etc.. One thing I've learned through my experience, is that gradually heated steel loses its strength gradually, not instantly. Since WTC7's free fall and symmetric drop displayed all the characteristics of a controlled demolition, and none of a fire induced collapse, I've always been skeptical of the government's "explanation" - that gradual heating of parts of the steel frame due to limited office fires caused WTC7's drop. -- Now that free fall acceleration has been well documented and finally acknowledged by government hired researchers at the NIST, this explanation also seems to be at odds with the findings of Sir Isaac Newton,. With that in mind, for the past year or so, I've been trying to solicit opinions regarding WTC7's free fall and symmetric drop from professors in Cornell's engineering department." - also posted at DProgram - Topix ||  Reficultnias's 9/11 Central  ||

When Governments Can't Borrow, Hyperflation Is Often the Result
A quote...."When governments cannot borrow, hyperinflation is frequently the result. -- Economist Philip Cogen defines hyperinflation as a non-annualized inflation rate of 50% or more in a single month. This rare occurrence should not be confused with the inflation the U.S. went through in the 1970s, which was moderate, almost normal, by comparison. -- Unlike normal inflation, which may be attributed to a variety of factors, hyperinflation has a single cause: It occurs when a government cannot borrow money because its debt has risen so much that investors believe they will never be paid back with close to the same purchasing power. As a consequence of this flight of confidence, such a government is forced to print money to meet its obligations. This further undermines the value of its currency, often culminating in a frenzied collapse. That is hyperinflation, and only governments and central banks cause it."
