The S&P 500 index, closing today at 2,373, hovers near
its all-time high. Total market capitalization of the 500
companies in the index exceeds $20 trillion, or 106% of US
GDP. In the three-plus years since the end of January 2014,
the index has soared 33%. - And yet, over these three-plus
years, even with financial engineering driven to the utmost
state of perfection, including $1.7 trillion in share
buybacks and despite “ex-bad-items” accounting schemes that
are giving even the SEC goosebumps – despite all these
efforts, the crucial and beautifully doctored “adjusted”
earnings-per-share, perhaps the single most manipulated
metric out there, has gone nowhere."
It's not when EPS goes down that causes
problems for stocks.
It's when every trick has been used for "x" number of
years, the parasites have borrowed their last penny to
buy back stocks, bribed or blackmailed their last
politician to get any regulation that impeded their
schemes removed, marked everything to extreme fantasy,
and the Fed has finally decided,
for their own reasons, to print it's last
fiat-debt-script. And THAN EPS starts to go
down.
That's when financial gravity finally starts to take
hold of stock "prices".
So just remember, stock "prices" have absolutely nothing
to do with economics, or the fundamental "value" of the
stocks underlying assets. They also have very
little to do with finances in an economy where "debt
doesn't matter" and never really did.
They're simply a reflection of the Banksters'
geopolitical / financial intentions and current
capabilities, and one of the methods used by the
Banksters to remove their manufactured fiat-script-notes
off the game board, and out of everyone's bank,
brokerage, and pension accounts, over to their side of
the ledger. It's just the way it is.
